Trex Outdoor Furniture Offers Style, Durability

Monterey Bay 5 Piece Bar Furniture Set

Unlike indoor furniture, outdoor furniture doesn’t just have to be attractive, but it has to withstand rain storms, UV rays, saltwater, and blowing snow/sleet/hail all while not blowing away! The leader of all things outdoor, Trex, decided to take on the challenge of making eye-catching, durable outdoor furniture, and the result is undeniably first-rate.

Including chairs, tables, bar furniture, ottomans and entire furniture sets, the new Trex Furniture line was expertly designed to be stylish, relaxing, and incredibly low-maintenance.  Over ninety percent of its plastic lumber is made from post-consumer bottle waste, such as milk and detergent bottles or other HDPE post industrial material.  Colored all the way through, Trex Outdoor Furniture lumber contains UV-inhibited pigment systems that reduces fading and does not need to be painted, stained or sealed in any way due to the durable nature of the material.

It’s comely and comfortable, but low-maintenance too? You bet! For regular maintenance, you simply wash your Trex Outdoor Furniture with soap and water.  For advanced cleaning or to remove fungi, just use a solution of 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water or any readily available anti fungal product.  And if you feel so inclined, a high pressure power washer may be used to keep your furniture looking like new!

With the distinctive styling and curves Trex is known for, the hard part will be deciding which pieces to choose!

Trex furniture isn’t just long lasting, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective–it’s gorgeous. Just take a look at the picture in this article. It really is. But I like that Trex is a “green company” and has been since before it was trendy and profitable to do so.
